Salzburg / Klagenfurt – Monday, October 4th, 2021, 3:49 p.m.
The EC Red Bull Salzburg can take the group win in the Champions Hockey League on Tuesday (8:20 p.m. / LIVE on ORF Sport +).
The Mozartstädter have won all four previous games and would fix first place with a home win against the ICE rival HC Bozen before the last game on October 12th in Bozen.
In the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League there was already a showdown between Salzburg and Bolzano on the second match day, which the South Tyroleans won 3-0. After three victories in a row, the Salzburgers go into the match with a healthy dose of self-confidence and want to take revenge for the ICE defeat.
“With Bolzano we have a difficult opponent who has already challenged us this year. We know that we have to show our best game in order to be successful. We want to constantly exert pressure, stick to our game plan and keep it simple play, then we can beat them too, “said defender Keegan Kanzig.
Both Salzburg (twelve points) and Bolzano (nine points) have already qualified for the round of 16.
KAC can fix advancement
The KAC wants to follow suit on Wednesday (6:30 p.m. / LIVE on ORF Sport +). The reigning champions of the ICE Hockey League lead Group G with four wins (ten points), clearly ahead of Donbass Donetsk and Rungsted (five each).
The KAC can make everything clear with a success in Ukraine and, in the event of a defeat in their home game against Donetsk on October 13th, would have another chance for promotion to the round of 16.
The draw will take place on Friday, October 15th at 12:00 noon.
