Mbappé confides in his aborted transfer from PSG to Real Madrid, for the first time

Kylian Mbappé warming up before the Ligue 1 match, PSG against Montpellier at the Parc des Princes, in Paris, on September 25, 2021.

Leonardo Nascimento de Araújoi, sports director of Paris-Saint-Germain, had justified the refusal of the offer of the Spanish club by evoking in particular the late aspect of the negotiations: “We cannot, the last week of the transfer window change our plans. If he wants to leave, we won’t hold him back, but that’s on our terms. ”

Kylian Mbappé finally responds to these statements and assures us once again that he warned the club of his plans at the end of July: “I said that I wanted to leave and I said it early enough (…) said at the end of July that I wanted to leave, ”he declares at RMC’s microphone.

“It’s a club that has given me a lot, I have always been happy, the four years I spent here, and I still am,” says Mbappé, “I announced it early enough for the club can turn around. I wanted everyone to grow up, to go out hand in hand, to make a good deal, and I respected that, ”he laments.

Unfortunately no agreement emerged from these discussions. Kylian Mbappé will therefore be free from January 1, 2022 to commit to the club of his choice and to leave PSG in June.

Kylian Mbappé’s full interview will be broadcast on Tuesday, October 5 on RMC Sport, in the program Rothen ignites from 6 p.m.
