Kafelnikov announced the ability of Viner-Usmanova to buy Averin's BMW herself

2000 Olympic tennis champion Yevgeny Kafelnikov shared the position of gymnast Artur Dalaloyan, who said that the presentation of the BMW X5 car to Dina Averina for the second place at the Tokyo Games was unfair. The former athlete is quoted by RT.

Kafelnikov said about the ability of the president of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner-Usmanova to independently buy and present a BMW to the Averin sisters. “She is able [сделать это]having such a rich husband. In addition, we have many other Olympians who live below the poverty line, ”added the former tennis player.

On October 1, Dalaloyan, commenting on the award of a BMW X5 car to Dina Averina for silver at the Tokyo Olympics, doubted that this was fair. In response, Viner-Usmanova called the gymnast an idiot. Dalaloyan was also condemned by State Duma deputies Irina Rodnina, Dmitry Svishchev and Svetlana Zhurova.

The presentation of car keys to the winners and prize-winners of the Olympic Games took place on September 11 on Red Square. The gold medal winners were awarded the BMW X5, while the silver and bronze medal winners were awarded the BMW X3.

Dina Averina at the Tokyo Olympics in the individual all-around took second place, losing to the Israeli Lina Ashram. Arina became the fourth.
