Delivery men lynch a criminal in Gonnet

While the crime wave that is hitting the City continues unchecked, a group of distributors decided to do justice by their own hand in Gonnet, where they captured an alleged criminal, beat him and held him until the arrival of the Police. The incident took place on Saturday night, around 11 p.m., on Camino Centenario and 504, when the alleged thief tried to steal the cell phone from a motorcyclist who works as a delivery man. He resisted, and witnesses to the incident assured this newspaper that, not being able to steal the phone, he set fire to a motorbike belonging to another delivery girl.

It all happened in front of a McDonalds branch. The defendant “went crazy” was one of the testimonies collected at the scene. After the subject’s attitude, the delivery men who were on the premises chased him and caught him at 505 and 10. They beat him up and then called 911. The suspect was then detained by the uniformed officers who arrived at the scene and later referred him to a hospital for medical attention for the beatings he received.

A complainant stated that “as a delivery man I am tired of this, that these filthy rats want to steal our work tools.” On the other hand, he affirmed that “Gonnet is a liberated area, the police never do anything, they stay on the corners drinking mate and fooling around with the phone. What annoyed me the most is that the policemen took out the shotguns and told us that if we left there they would shoot us down ”.
