At the country level, metallurgical activity grew 16.3% in year-on-year terms in August and 0.9% compared to July.

The data collected by Adimra by sectors, they indicate that “generalized growth is maintained in year-on-year terms, with the exception of Medical equipment”, which registered a fall of 1.5%, “although it is at the same levels as July 2021”.

Meanwhile, the Agricultural Machinery (+ 23.8%) and Bodyworks and Trailers (+ 22.6%) items register strong increases in year-on-year terms, exceeding 2019 levels, while the rest are already above previous levels to the pandemic.

Regarding the behavior of the level of employment in the sector, andn August there was an increase of 4.3% in the number of jobs, thus accumulating a growth of 3.3% so far this year.

In addition to the province of Buenos Aires, other regions of the country yielded the following growth statistics: Córdoba (16,3%), Mendoza (15.4%) Santa Fe (13.7%) and Between rivers (7,5%).
