Golden Globes: 'A Herdade' wins Golden Globe for Best Film

the homestead won the Golden Globe for Best Film this Sunday night, at the 25th Golden Globes Gala, taking place at the Coliseu dos Recreios, an award given by Jorge Corrula e Soraia Chaves.

the drama, with Albano Jerónimo in the main role, it tells the story of João Fernandes, owner of one of the largest latifundios in Europe, located on the south bank of the Tagus, and patriarch of a traditional Portuguese family.

Made by Paulo White, with argument by Rui Cardoso Martins, the homestead had its world premiere at the 76th Venice Film Festival and it was worth it to the director, James Guedes, the Bisato D’Oro award for Best Achievement, awarded by independent critics. In addition to Albano Jerónimo, the drama also features the participation of Sandra Faleiro, Miguel Borges, Victoria Guerra, Ana Bustorff and Diogo Dória, between others.
