The 12th date of the Road Tourism, at the Rosendo Hernández Autodrome in San Luis, was not the race expected by Facundo Della Motta and his team, the Candela Competición, since although he had managed to advance 9 places in the final, a tire blew out in lap 13 and left without the end of the competition the San Juan who was in 24th place.

“One more abandonment, unfortunately a rubber made me unable to finish, beyond the fact that I was advancing calmly. He left me on foot with 6 laps to go when he came in 24th place ”, Facundo commented from his box and with the logical bitterness of abandonment due to a casual and unusual event on this circuit that does not require excessive spending on tires.

Facundo started Sunday’s day starting 13th in the first heat. After 4 laps he was able to win a couple of places to finish 11th, managing to avoid an accident in front of him between Fontana and Londero that could have involved him.

At the time of the final, starting from 33rd place, Facundo started in a great way, since after passing lap 2 he was already in 28th place, winning five places in the first two laps of the race. Halfway through the tour, on lap 10, the San Juan was in 26th place and looking to gain positions, which he is achieving lap by lap, since after passing lap 13, he was already 24th, with Alan Ruggiero in front and Nicolás Trosset from behind, both with Ford, when the blowout of one of the rear tires arrived, and the San Juan could not control the Torino, which ended in the leca and demanded the entry of the safety car.

The race was won by Mariano Werner (Ford), escorted by Agustín Canapino (Chevrolet) and Diego Ciantini (Dodge), who joined the podium with the Entre Ríos.

“We are complicated, we must analyze how it continues,” said Della Motta, who will have the next date at the end of the month in Viedma on the weekend of October 30 and 31.
