This Saturday the festival “Matanza Freestyle” who met a 32 finalists out of a total of 800 registrants who took the stage in front of an audience of 5 thousand people who came to enjoy the event at the Alberto Balestrini Sports Center, in Lomas del Mirador.
The closing was in charge of Lit Killah, a native of González Catán, who was declared an outstanding personality of the young culture of La Matanza.
“Urban culture exploded in La Matanza,” celebrated the mayor of the Buenos Aires party, Fernando Espinoza. “Young people needed to have events like this again and we made it possible. We celebrate living these experiences that our youth so longed for ”, he added.
Lit Killah said he was excited to be reunited with his audience after almost two years without face-to-face shows. “Being able to do it in my area and with the people who have always supported me is beautiful. Being able to get on stage and feel all the love of the people again is wonderful. There is no impediment to achieving what we dream of. It doesn’t matter where we come from. The important thing is to put desire and passion ”, said the young artist.
“Matanza Freestyle” was promoted by the Youth Secretariat of the district and its objective was promote rap culture for youth to express and enhance their talents through art.
“The Freestyle Festival means continuing to generate rights and dreams like those of Lit Killah, which has a great future and which today is part of all the great stages of America. The talent of Lit, a boy of ours, from González Catán, crossed the borders of Argentina and today he is one of the most influential people in the urban genre, ”said Espinoza.
For his part, the youth secretary of La Matanza, Franco Torales, said: “We feel very excited because we are fulfilling a dream of all the youth of the district. For the first time there is an urban culture scene in La Matanza where hundreds of boys and girls have the chance to show their art. We continue working for the right to culture and recreation ”.
The festival carried out with sanitary protocols and the provision of differentiated and separate corralitos so that attendees could maintain their distance from each other.
“We have to join the youth because Young people have dreams that you have to know how to interpret. That’s what we do every day from La Matanza. Through a present State we give them the possibility that the boys and girls need to generate a unified popular conscience ”, said Espinoza and recalled that In the legislative elections, the 26-year-old Brenda Vargas Matyi from Matanzas is a candidate for national deputy “to represent our youth.”.
“From our municipality we say that La Matanza is the most. The biggest, the most in culture, the most in education, the most in industry and now the most in freestyle. Young people needed to have events like this again and we made it possible. We celebrate living these experiences that our youth so longed for ”, concluded the mayor.
