The cumulative incidence drops another 4.55 points and stands at 78.88

The Ministry of Health has published this Tuesday the update of the figures of infections, hospitalizations and deaths from coronavirus in Spain and, with respect to yesterday’s report, the total number of people infected by COVID-19 has increased by 2,450, so the national total of infected already rises to 4,937,984 people since the start of the pandemic.

In addition, Health has reported 82 new deaths from the SARS-CoV-2 infection with respect to this Friday’s data, which makes the official death toll since the beginning of the pandemic already rises to 85,983.

Regarding the accumulated incidence at the national level at 14 days, the figure has dropped another 4.55 points during the last 24 hours to stand at 78.88 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

10% occupancy in ICU

The Health report of this Tuesday registers a new drop in the pressure and hospital occupancy figures with respect to those registered on Monday. Currently there are 3,450 hospitalized patients (yesterday there were 3,668), which represents 2.87% of the occupied beds. The percentage of occupancy in ICUs has also dropped half a point, from 10.71% to 10.21%.

76.1% have already received the complete guideline

Health has also updated the vaccination figures in Spain. The country already has 36,086,354 people with the complete guideline (76.1% of the population). If we look at the number of people with at least one dose of the vaccines, the figure rises to 37,472,155 people (79.0% of Spaniards).

In total, since the vaccination campaign began in Spain, 69,427,047 doses of the four vaccines approved to date by the EMA have been administered after 94,218 doses have been administered this Monday.
