According to the Deputy Prime Minister, a process of technological transfer has been organized for the production of the Sputnik Light vaccine in Armenia.

TBILISI, September 20 – Sputnik. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan stated that the production of the Russian Sputnik Light vaccine will begin in the country, Sputnik Armenia reports.

In the context of cooperation in the field of healthcare, Grigoryan expressed gratitude to Russia for its assistance in combating the spread of COVID-19 in Armenia.

“Several batches of Sputnik V vaccine were purchased through the Russian Direct Investment Fund, and a process of technological transfer for the production of Sputnik Light vaccine in Armenia was organized,” Grigoryan said during the Armenian-Russian business forum in Yerevan on Monday.

The Armenian-Russian business forum is taking place in Yerevan on September 20. It is attended by deputy prime ministers, ministers and representatives of big business of the two countries. The event is supported by the Russian government. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is expected to speak at one of the panel discussions.
