Turkey sees maximum increase in new cases of COVID-19 for second day in a row

“Today 341,004 tests have been done, 28,224 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified, 248 people have died,” the Ministry of Health said.

In January, Turkey began vaccination against coronavirus with the CoronaVac drug of the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech; since March, the country has also used the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine. At the end of April, Turkey allowed the emergency use of the Russian Sputnik V. According to the Turkish Ministry of Health, more than 52 million citizens received the first dose of coronavirus vaccines in the country, two doses – more than 41 million.
