The Verkhovna Rada announced the failure of the vaccination campaign against coronavirus

By September 15, only 11 percent of residents were fully vaccinated against coronavirus in Ukraine, this indicates a complete failure of the vaccination campaign. This announcement was made by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Golos faction, Irina Sovsun, she is quoted by the party’s press service.

In this situation, the deputy accused the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic and the pro-presidential party “Servant of the People”. According to the politician, a new wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is rapidly approaching the country, and in the future a new lockdown awaits citizens. She pointed out that against this background, the government did not allocate a single penny for the purchase of oxygen stations for patients, but spent 15 billion hryvnia (40 billion rubles) on the renovation of roads.

“At the same time, subventions for [избирательные] districts are provided in 4 billion hryvnia (10 billion rubles – approx. “”), this is actually financing the loyalty of the majority shareholders. Obviously, hospitals will have to breathe asphalt, ”said Sovsun.

She added that the country’s leadership has also actually withdrawn from helping entrepreneurs, as it is not going to budget funds to support small businesses. “Equip schools with computers for distance learning too,” said the parliamentarian.

Previously, sociologists found that more than half of the inhabitants of Ukraine are not going to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, even taking into account the impending lockdown. “These indicators are among the highest in the world and in comparison with neighboring states, where data from such surveys are available,” the authors of the study said.

According to the latest data, more than 2.4 million people have been infected with the coronavirus in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic. Almost 58 thousand patients became victims of the infection. 4.96 million citizens received both doses of the vaccine, at least one dose – 11 million.
