The filmmaker Juan José Campanella spoke after the results of the PASO and, taking stock of the first two years of Alberto Fernández’s government, considered that “He hit society like he did with that older adult.”
“Alberto Fernández is doing to this society what he did to that older man in the video, who pushed him, threw him to the ground and when he was on the floor he kicked him,” Campanella recalled referring to the incident that The current president starred in a restaurant in 2018.
Likewise, the Oscar winner for “The Secret in Their Eyes” strangely praised Cristina Kirchner when comparing her to the President. “There is one thing that can be said about Cristina. He is not a false person, he shows you absolutely everything he feels and thinks at every moment ”, the artist underlined on the cable news channel.
“She can be wrong, she can change her mind the next day, she is a rival with whom you have to argue, fight and disagree. But it is what it is”, he added in reference to the vice president.
“WE ARE WITH A LOT OF JOY”
Along these lines, focusing on the first stage of the legislative elections, Campanella admitted: “It is a surprise for everyone. This has given us a lot of strength to continue working. There are many hopes. We are very happy.”
However, he maintained that “we cannot fall into triumphalism” because “we have not yet won the elections.” He then indicated that the favorable result obtained by Together for Change was made possible by the “indignation that many saw.”
He pointed out that “if Together for Change wins in 2023, it will receive a country worse than in 2015 and with a tremendous division.” He also advised that Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and María Eugenia Vidal “be guided by their instincts.”
In the last sections of the interview, he remarked: “What I liked the most about the Cambiemos government was that, for the first time in my life, I saw a government where people were imprisoned for the crimes they committed. In Argentina there are mafias everywhere.”
