Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night - Trailer with LiSA's new song

Aniplex shared a new trailer for Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night (Gekijō-ban Sword Art Online: Progressive Hoshi Naki Yoru no Aria). The A-Pictures production will be shown starting next 30th of October in traditional theaters and in IMAX format in Japan.

The promotional trailer allows us to hear a preview of the main theme of the film. LiSA (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) co-wrote and performs the song titled ‘Yuke’, while Ayase, by the duo YOASOBI (Beastars), composed the music. The single will be released on October 15, a couple of weeks before the film’s commercial release.

Of course, LiSA has performed numerous of the themes of the franchise. Sword Art Online through the years, including ‘Crossing Field’, the iconic opening from the first season; ‘Shirushi’, the second ending from Sword Art Online II; ‘Catch the Moment’, main theme of the film Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale (2017); or ‘Unlasting’, the ending from Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld.

Launched in 2012, the literary saga Sword Art Online Progressive offers us a recap of the events of the Aincrad arc. On this occasion, the author Reki Kawahara recounts in great detail Kirito and Asuna’s floor-by-floor ascent through the floating castle where the “Game of Death” takes place.

Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night is directed by Ayako Kawano (episode director of Your Lie in April and Love Live! Sunshine!!) para A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online). Kento Toya (Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld) is in charge of character designs; Yasuyuki Kai (key animator of Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale) is the action director and Yuki Kajiura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) returns as a songwriter.

The cast will again be headed by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Haruka Tomatsu as Kirito and Asuna, respectively. For his part, Inori Minase (Rem in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-) will lend his voice to the original character named Myth.

The Serie Sword Art Online Is available in Funimation, Crunchyroll and Netflix. We remind you that the movie Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale It was released in theaters in Mexico in March 2017.
