In 2021, the Ministry of Communications and Transportation will turn 130 years of existence, and to celebrate, the SCT Coahuila decided to launch a call for the entire community of mural artists, art students, amateurs and the general public to design a mural, which It will be placed on the facade of the building located at Blvd. Fundadores No. 4213.
This contest seeks to create a space for mutual cooperation between society and the SCT Coahuila Center. According to the rules released this September 10, mural artists, members of groups, art students, amateurs and the general public may participate, as long as they are of legal age and reside in the Mexican Republic. The theme for the mural will be the 130th Anniversary of the SCT, including the work of the Secretariat throughout its history in the communications, road work and transportation sectors.
Those who are interested must register their participation at any time and up to one week before the closing of the reception of works, at the offices of the SCT Coahuila Center, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The requirements that are needed are: Copy of official identification and proof of address, as well as two photographs of work carried out previously.
The SCT Coahuila also requested that the designs be created from an original and unpublished idea, and according to the measurements in the space designated by the SCT Coahuila Center, it will also be possible to participate with up to two designs, which must be accompanied of the list of materials and supplies to be used, as well as a letter of commitment written in free format specifying the times for the completion of the mural.
The winner will be announced on October 15, and will be credited with making their design in the aforementioned space, for which they will be provided with the material and supplies they need, in addition they will receive a cash incentive of 20 thousand pesos .
