The “Royal” owes it to Thibaut Courtois that Real Madrid did not swallow a goal on a visit to Inter. Our compatriot kept his club straight, especially before half-time, in a pleasant game. After the break, Madrid showed a different face and they were able to score in the 89th minute.
Inter – Real Madrid presented itself as a beautiful poster and the party did not disappoint either. Someone who was disappointed was undoubtedly Eden Hazard. He had to watch from the bench as the Milanese pulled the sheet towards them as the match progressed. Whether it was Edin Dzeko, Ivan Perisic or Lautaro Martinez, they all bit their teeth on Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian final piece had to roll up its sleeves and be up to date every minute. Bend, but don’t fold. Ancelotti was allowed to thank his goalkeeper that the zero was still on the scoreboard at half time.
At Inter they missed a killer à la Romelu Lukaku.
Still price in 89th minute
Ancelotti had put his troops on edge again at the break, because the Madrilenians suddenly tapped from a different barrel. After an excellent header by Dzeko and a brilliant save by Courtois, the visitors got back into the game.
Not Eden Hazard, but Eduardo Camavinga and Rodrygo were allowed to come in. And just those 2 craft the only goal of the match. Camavinga at one point passed the ball to Rodrygo who managed to outwit Handanovic.
It was such a sour defeat for Inter that, based on the 1st half, they certainly deserved more. Real Madrid are already doing an excellent job.
