Police and Civil Guards among those arrested in the anti-drug macrooperative

The operation launched this week in various towns in the province of Badajoz continues to be open and in other provinces against drug trafficking. Interventions that were carried out in the towns of Mérida, Valdelacalzada, La Garrovilla or Esparragalejo and where Government Delegation in Extremadura has reported that there are 25 detainees.

The operation is carried out by the UCO of the Civil Guard under the direction of a court in Torrevieja (Alicante). In these interventions, a significant number of cannabis plants have been seized. It is currently under summary secrecy and among the detainees there are members of the Civil Guard and the National Police.

The Government delegate in Extremadura, Yolanda García Seco has reported that the operation is under summary secrecy and that it has been in collaboration with internal affairs of both bodies. He has also asked to respect the presumption of innocence and has valued the work carried out by the National Police and the Civil Guard to fight against drug trafficking.
