Myasnikov dispelled myths about the correct posture for sleeping

Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov dispelled popular myths about the correct posture for sleeping. The words of the specialist are quoted by the “Public News Service”.

Dr. Myasnikov refuted the widespread claim that sleeping on the back contributes to the development of Alzheimer’s disease. According to the TV presenter, the occurrence of this form of dementia is more influenced by genetics than posture during sleep.

Myasnikov also noted that people with a deviated nasal septum do not have to sleep on their side. “If you sleep in the correct position on your back – no problem, but for the skin of the face there are only advantages,” the doctor said.

The TV presenter added that there are no sleep standards. “Sleep as you like. The main thing is to sleep well, deeply and long. And it matters more – who to sleep with, ”he concluded.

Earlier, Dr. Myasnikov named a symptom that is mistakenly considered a sign of a stroke.
