This Wednesday at noon a new shipment of the coronavirus vaccine from Pfizer that will be used for the inoculation of adolescents. It is a shipment of 160,290 doses that is part of the contract that the Government signed with the North American laboratory for the supply of 20 million inoculations in the remainder of 2021.

According to the Flightaware site, American Airlines flight AA991 from Miami arrived at Ezeiza International Airport at 11:22 a.m. and the new cargo is in addition to the 100,620 injections received at the beginning of the month and which have already been distributed to all provinces, as reported. Thus, to date 260,910 doses were received.

Meanwhile, for October, November and December the entry of the remaining 19.5 million doses is expected to complete the agreement signed in August.

The first batch was used to complete Sputnik V schedules and immunize adolescents with comorbidities. However, the new disembarkation will be destined to those between 12 and 17 years old, although it was not clarified if any particular age group will be prioritized.

As detailed by Télam, so far Argentina has 60,217,440 vaccines. Of the total, 17,180,320 are from Sputnik V (10,955,280 from component 1 and 6,225,040 from component 2). From the AstraZeneca firm, the country already has 16,124,500 vaccines among the 580,000 from Covishield, the 1,944,000 received by the Covax mechanism, 12,389,500 provided directly by the laboratory, 400,000 donated by Spain and 811,000 by Mexico.

Meanwhile, it received 22,912,000 from the Sinopharm laboratory, 3,500,000 from Moderna donated by the United States, 400,000 from Cansino and the 100,620 that have already arrived from Pfizer.
