On September 14, the Moscow Art Theater hosted the final screening of the play “The Ideal Husband” directed by Konstantin Bogomolov. The production was sold out for many years and its removal from the repertoire surprised the audience. One way or another, Bogomolov decided to say goodbye to his creation with dignity by throwing a loud party.
The events took place at the Simach establishment in Nedalny, where not only members of the troupe gathered, but also many stars of the domestic show business. So, among the guests were seen Ksenia Sobchak, Ida Galich and Ekaterina Varnava. The latter managed to sing several compositions in karaoke with Konstantin Bogomolov. The most expressive was the version of the song “Old Clock” by Alla Pugacheva, performed by the actress and director.
Also, Konstantin Bogomolov, together with his friends, sang another cult song of the Prima Donna – “Iceberg”. Of course, it was difficult for the director to draw out the high notes, but he himself was not at all embarrassed. Of course, the fans were delighted with the director’s performance, although many suspected that the musicality that awakened in Bogomolov was related to the amount of alcohol consumed.

Anyway, everyone was singing at karaoke that night. The troupe members performed compositions by Valery Meladze, Alexander Serov and other artists. Those guests who did not want to play music enjoyed snacks and small talk at this time.
Earlier it became known that in addition to “The Ideal Husband”, the play “The Karamazovs” was also being removed from the Moscow Art Theater’s repertoire. The changes taking place in the theater have long outraged both the creative team and the fans. After the death of Oleg Tabakov, Sergey Zhenovach became the artistic director of the cultural institution, whose management methods are not to the liking of many.
