CULTURE – Marthe Mercadier, nicknamed the “queen” of boulevard theater between the 50s and 90s, passed away at the age of 92 this Wednesday, September 15.
A prolific actress, she has starred in nearly 50 plays and nearly 40 films as well as the series The Holy Darlings at the end of the Sixties, which will make it known to the general public, as you can see in the video at the top of the article.
Also a producer, her career will be marked by the success of Patrick Schulmann, And tenderness? Mess in 1979. The film known for its key lines evokes the relationship between women and men and sexuality.
Unknown to the younger generations, the actress appears however in the first season of Dance with the Stars. For others, she appears more as an artist committed to humanitarian causes but also her voice on the Alzeihmer disease of which she was suffering.
