The bill will go to the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ) and, finally, to the plenary of the Chamber. It will also need Senate approval.

The approved text is the report by deputy Jerônimo Goergen (PP-RS). He presented a favorable opinion to the bill of the DEM leader in the Chamber, Deputy Efraim Filho (PB), which extends the payroll tax exemption.

If the text does not pass Congress, the measure will expire on December 31 of this year. Sectors and specialists claim that, without payroll tax, formal jobs can be closed.
