Assimi Goïta warns: "the fight against corruption will be without qualms and without a spirit of hindsight"

The President of the Transition met the members of the Superior Council of Magistracy at the Koulouba Palace, this Tuesday, September 14, 2021. In his capacity as President of the Council, Colonel Assimi Goïta galvanized his troop and urged them to continue the fight against the corruption involved. “Today, you have the opportunity to give hope to the Malian people”. These were the last words of President Assimi Goïta to the magistrates, and they were not the most important. In the five-minute speech, Colonel Assimi Goïta appeared confident, with a speech up to the challenge. The Head of State began by welcoming the “efforts” of each other “Since the beginning of the recovery of the transition”.

Mali’s stability is linked to security, recognizes Assimi Goïta. But, more than security, said the Head of State, justice is the first pillar of stability. “There is no strong state without a strong justice”, he insisted before the members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary.

In the fight against corruption, Colonel Assimi Goïta warns the magistrates. Defective elements exist at all levels of society. “Men ready to sell their nation for their own interests”, said the president of the transition. Never mind, the fight against corruption will continue. “It is about the will of the people we have no other choice but to execute it”, Assimi explained.

“The fight against corruption will be without qualms and without a spirit of hindsight”, warned President Goïta, inviting his day visitors to look at the state of the roads, hospitals…. “Where did the money for their realization go? ”He asks, undoubtedly concerned about the well-being of populations. We are talking about refoundation, but we must refound the Malian man. According to Assimi, these are the men who plan and execute corruption. So we need men capable of fighting this.
