The Vietnamese-born man was "hit and run away" in front of Mile Square Regional Park and died

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, California (NV) – Mr. Long Ta, 34 years old, resident of Santa Ana, the victim of the “runaway car crash” that occurred right in front of Mile Square Regional Park, Fountain Valley, passed away at 4 p.m. Monday, September 13, The victim’s family confirmed with the reporter of Nguoi Viet daily.

Before that, Mr. Long had an accident on the morning of Saturday, September 11, and police have not yet caught the driver of the car that hit Mr. Long.

Sarah Pak, a relative of the victim, told Nguoi Viet daily by phone: “Fountain Valley police said that they discovered Mr. Long lying motionless on the side of the road, at the corner of Edinger and Ward streets, at 6:20 a.m. Saturday morning.”

“I heard the paramedics resuscitated him for eight minutes and then took him straight to UC Irvine,” she added.

It is known that Mr. Long often goes to the park to jog in the morning.

The details of the accident are still unknown and police are investigating roadside camera footage to track down the vehicle that caused the accident.

Nguoi Viet Daily also contacted the officer in charge, Mr. Anthony Clements, of the Fountain Valley Police Department, to find out more updates, but no new information is available yet.

Mr. Long’s family also asked for the help of the media and the community to hope to find the culprit soon.
