The typical palindrome team

Hugo Ekitike scored this weekend in the Rennes-Reims game, becoming the second player with a palindrome name (if, you know, words that can be read both ways …) to score in Ligue 1 after Hassane Alla. It was well worth a nice typical palindrome team.

Fikret KAVAK
What better, for this typical team, than a 32-year-old Turkish goalkeeper whose major achievements are appearances in Turkish D3 with Maltepespor? Answer: no. There was nothing better. Unless you are a connoisseur of Japanese D2, and Arterivo Wakayama’s doorman, Keisuke Ono.

Massimo ODDO
Massimo Oddo is undoubtedly the captain of this team. And for good reason: he is the only one of the 438 players to have won the World Cup which bears a palindrome name. No offense to Didi and Vava, who were almost there.

A nugget of the Galatasaray training center, Ozan Kabak is only 21 years old, but has already played in Stuttgart, Schalke 04 and Liverpool. Not kept by Reds at the end of the 2020-2021 season, he has rebounded this season at Norwich. Here, he hopes to dream, and no longer go under the radar of a big club.

Ćivić? Of course, with a name like that, the Bosnian left side of Ferencváros would need education. #JeanBlaguin

Hassane ALLA
On December 20, 2008, during a Lille-Le Havre, Hassane Alla deceives Grégory Malicki, and thus becomes the first palindrome player to score a goal in Ligue 1. To believe that he has taken a liking to it: after his experience in Le Havre, he will go … to Laval.

Eberechi EZE
This could be the beginning of a poetry that we learn by heart in CM2 and then recite on the board: “Well-off who like the successful Eze knows how to pronounce his name on both sides.” ” Take this, La Fontaine.

Trained at Arsenal between 2004 and 2008, he never managed to break through with the Gunners, but became a legend at Dagenham & Redbridge, with whom he played 253 games in six years. Clearly, over there, they’re all Ogogo gagas.

Hasan ŞAŞ
Who remembers Galatasaray and Turkey midfielder Hasan Şas ranked 11the for the Golden Ball after the World Cup in Japan and Korea? That was in 2002. Which is, of course, a palindrome year.

Clearly the most technical name of this team. Perfect for practicing pronunciation at the speech therapist. Repeat after me : “The Ekitike team performs the epic practice of tiki-taka and horseback riding, even if it means leaving their supplier. ”

Marcelo SALAS
In addition to having a palindrome name, Marcelo Salas was very close to offering himself a palindrome career. It was played at a nearby club: Universidad de Chile, River Plate, Lazio, Juventus, River Plate, Universidad de Chile. At the same time, considering the fail of his time at Juve, we can pretend it never existed.

Jesus Carvalho REINIER
Attention: beautiful story. When the Brazilian arrived on loan at Borussia Dortmund, he explained the origin of his name. “My mom is interested in royal families, so my dad thought about it carefully. From Rainier, Prince of Monaco, he created Reinier because he thought it would be fun because it’s the same name spelled backwards. ” Real artists, these Brazilians.

Heart Club

Who other than Laval to offer jerseys to this great team? Notice to the municipalities of Callac, Esse, Noyon, Savas, Sarras, Senones and Sées: with eight teams, we can largely organize the tournament of palindromes.
