The incidence drops to 109 points but Health notifies another 155 deaths from COVID

The Ministry of Health has published this Tuesday the update of the figures of infections, hospitalizations and deaths from coronavirus in Spain and, with respect to Monday’s report, the total number of people infected by COVID-19 It has increased by 3,261, so that the national total of infected already rises to 4,918,526 people since the start of the pandemic.

In addition, Health has reported 155 new deaths from the SARS-CoV-2 infection with respect to the data of this Monday, which makes the official death toll since the beginning of the pandemic already rises to 85,548.

With regard to the accumulated incidence nationwide at 14 days, the figure has dropped another 6.75 points during the last 24 hours to stand at 109.38 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Hospital occupancy continues to decline

The Health report of this Monday registers a new drop in the pressure and hospital occupancy figures with respect to those registered this Monday. There are currently 4,459 hospitalized patients (yesterday there were 4,652), which represents 3.74% of the occupied beds. The percentage of occupancy in ICUs has also dropped slightly, from 12.80% to 12.41%.

132,898 vaccinations in 24 hours

Health has also updated the vaccination figures and there are already 35,413,078 people with the complete vaccination schedule (74.6% of the population). If we look at the number of people with at least one dose of the vaccines, the figure rises to 37,243,220 people (78.5% of Spaniards).

In total, since the vaccination campaign began in Spain, 68,619,581 doses of the four vaccines approved to date by the EMA have been given after administering 132,898 doses since yesterday.
