Panama U-23 Baseball Team will have four professionals for the World Cup

The Panamanian Baseball Federation (Fedebeis) confirmed that four professionals will reinforce the U-23 team that will represent the national colors in the world championship of the category, which will take place from September 23 to October 2 in the state of Sonora, Mexico .

A press release from the Fedebeis details that the professional players who will be wearing the national jersey will be shortstop Joshwan Wright, a native of the Bocas del Toro province and signed by the Oakland Athletics organization; Chiriqui left-handed pitcher James González (Oakland Athletics); Coclesano right-hander Julio Goff (Los Angeles Angels) and Chepano right-handed pitcher Jesús Sánchez (Miami Marlins).

The national preselection currently has 25 players including professionals, so you only have to cut one player to define the team.

Panama is in Group B of the U-23 World Cup along with Colombia, South Korea, the Netherlands, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
