Lithuania announced Russia's involvement in the Belarusian "hybrid aggression"

Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anushauskas held a meeting with the heads of the military and foreign affairs agencies of Poland and the Baltic countries. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the republic.

It is noted that within the framework of the summit, the ministers discussed topical issues of security and defense, in particular the military exercises of Russia and Belarus “West-2021” and “hybrid aggression” by Belarus. Anushauskas stressed that the migration crisis provoked by the Belarusian authorities taught European countries a “valuable lesson” and demonstrated the importance of a coordinated response to such threats.

He also announced Moscow’s involvement in the “hybrid attack” on Minsk. According to him, the Russian side “helped” the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in organizing it, and their actions were “coordinated”.

At the end of May, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland began reporting large groups of illegal migrants from the Middle East and Africa who began to infiltrate the countries from Belarusian territory.

Vilnius blamed Minsk and personally Lukashenka for the current migration crisis. It is assumed that the Belarusian authorities have established the transfer of illegal immigrants from Syria and Iraq to the borders of the European Union (EU) with the help of their national tour operator “Tsentrkurort” and began to make money on this.
