As you know Harvey Elliott suffered a horrific injury in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leeds on Sunday following a challenge from Pascal Struijk.

It was a heartbreaking incident, all the more devastating as Jürgen Klopp was set to replace the 18-year-old prodigy.

Even watching on TV was difficult, so we can’t imagine what it was like to watch the horrific event live.

For Ibrahima Konaté, it was clearly too much.

RB Leipzig’s £ 36million signing couldn’t watch as he buried his head in Klopp’s shoulder as Elliott was treated by paramedics.

He may be a new face at Anfield, but the Frenchman already cares a lot about his teammates and the club.

It’s hard not to feel the same as Konate, even if you can’t stand Liverpool.

Elliott started his third consecutive Premier League game at Elland Road, during his exceptional season as a top player.

The ex-Fulham prodigy was behaving superbly, so it’s absolutely overwhelming to see his season come to a halt quickly.

Hopefully we can see Liverpool’s early No.67 on the pitch before the end of the season.

Failing that, let’s just hope that this injury doesn’t have a long-term effect on the Liverpool fan from childhood, and that he can always fulfill his enormous potential.
