Frente de Todos

In tune with eventual announcements by President Alberto Fernández, from the block from deputies of the Front of All presented this Tuesday a draft that seeks to establish the go up from wages by decree. The initiative is promoted by the entrerriano leader Marcelo casaretto, who considered that “It is necessary to advance expected increases”.

The bill that raises a minimum wage increase for all workers in a dependency relationship, both in the public and private sectors. Said increase would be accounted for “on account of the joint negotiations carried out or to be carried out, to consolidate the recovery of workers’ wages, and sustain the reactivation of the economy in progress,” according to Casaretto explained on his official Twitter account.

In this sense, the national deputy recalled that “the measure was already taken at the beginning of the Alberto Fernández Government by Decree 14/2020, improving wages.” At the same time, the national legislator for Entre Ríos warned that currently the real salary of workers in a dependency relationship is on average at the same level as in 2019.

“As stated by Cecilia Todesca, Chief of the Cabinet, salaries during the government of Mauricio Macri fell by 20%. In our government at the beginning they increased 6.4%, in the pandemic they fell 6.9% and this year they increased 0.8%. We are at the level of 2019, but it is necessary to recover the previous fall ”, Casaretto appealed in another tweet.

And while he pondered that “monthly inflation is falling, and wages are gradually increasing,” he warned that “it is necessary to anticipate increases expected in subsequent months.” In such a way that “the PEN (National Executive Power) must define the amount of the increase, taking into account the situation of SMEs and critical sectors,” said the official leader.

It should be remembered that in December 2019, when Law No. 27,541 on Social Solidarity and Productive Reactivation was enacted within the framework of the Public Emergency, which empowered the Executive to order that private sector employers pay minimum wage increases to their employees on a mandatory basis , a uniform increase of $ 3,000 was ordered, an amount that rose to $ 4,000 in February of last year.
