This Tuesday, state voters participate in a ‘recall’ to decide whether governor Gavin Newsom will remain in power
The former president of USA, Donald Trump, denounced this Tuesday, 14, an electoral fraud to revoke or not the term of the governor of California, Democrat Gavin Newsom, even before the polls close. The most recent polls gave “No” a 15 to 20 percentage point lead, which already indicated that Newson would be kept in the job. However, without evidence, Trump assured that the election results were already arranged in favor of the Democrat. Last year, the republican denounced, also without foundation, that his defeat for Joe Biden in the presidential elections was the result of fraud.
“In any case, nothing matters because the elections in California they are totally manipulated”, declared the former president, who still does not recognize his own defeat. According to him, there are many voters being denied the right to vote. The governor’s opponents managed to collect enough signatures to pressure the holding of the referendum of ‘recall’ because of restrictions imposed during the pandemic. Newsom, however, managed to match Republicans who battled to replace him with Trump, in a state where Biden won by nearly 30 percentage points.
