President Alberto Fernández visited the Ball packaging factory this afternoon, in the Burzaco industrial park, where the company executives announced an investment of 60 million dollars and the generation of new jobs“I really congratulate you and thank you for continuing to trust Argentina. The President was accompanied by the ministers of Productive Development Matías Kulfas and of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis; the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa and the mayor of Almirante Brown, Mariano Cascallares, as well as company authorities.

The company’s investment plan for 2021-22 aims to expand the installation of a new production line, which will allow them to increase their production capacity by 643 million cans (30 percent more than the current one) at a time. 46 new jobs will be generated.

From there, the president held a meeting by videoconference with the Ball Corporation authorities who were in Brazil, the President of the company, Carlos Pires, and the Commercial Vice President of the firm, Fauze Villatoro.

Once the conversation was over, Alberto Fernández greeted and spoke with workers of the company and toured the aluminum processing area, and the area for training and painting the final product.

Ball Corporation is a US-owned company with a presence in Argentina since 1995 as a producer of aluminum containers for beverages, employing 220 workers directly and 600 indirectly, and is a supplier to companies such as Cervecería Quilmes, CCU, Coca Cola. , Argentine Strains, Monster and Speed, among others. Since 2019, there have been more than 900 investment announcements for 34,000 million dollars and productive investment grew by 14.3 percent. Thus, the industrial sector today has 25,000 more jobs than two years ago.
