Due to the impact of the crash, two cars and the bus caught fire; pileup caused 10 km of road slowdown
One accident between a truck, a bus and four cars on the Presidente Dutra Highway left six dead and seven injured this Tuesday morning, 14. According to the Federal Highway Police, the pileup occurred on the road around 9:40 am, towards São Paulo, in São José dos Campos. Due to the impact of the crash, two cars and the bus caught fire. The runway was completely closed to the work of the PRF and the Fire Department. The six fatal victims were in the same vehicle, a GM Corsa, and came from the penal colony of Tremembé, bound for the capital of São Paulo. All the injured were on the bus. The accident caused a 10 km slowdown on the Dutra route. According to the PRF, the traffic was released around 12:50 pm.
