When the police arrived at the scene of the complaint, on the corner of Rivadavia and Aberastaín, Jáchal, they found a barefoot woman crying to the point that she could not speak a word. It was 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, and one of the neighbors who had gathered to try to help explained to the uniformed officers that apparently the woman had been attacked by her partner, who was inside the home. The 31-year-old victim was transferred to the jachallero hospital, and there she could tell that she was in bed, affected by the flu, when her partner arrived, identified by judicial sources as Fernandp Fernández -47-year-old-, along with her son 16-year-old from watching a soccer game and suddenly began to assault her, out of jealousy. First verbally and then he pounced on her, squeezing her arms so hard it bruised her. In a first attempt to escape, the woman was pushed by Fernández, causing her to bang her head against the wall.
Seeing the situation, the son of the aggressor opened the door so that the woman could flee into the street. The attacker threw an iron chain that they use to close that door and hit him in the back of the neck. As people approached, Fernández locked himself in the house and after a long time of negotiations, he turned himself in to the police.
Today, Tuesday, an abbreviated trial was agreed between the parties and a sentence of 8 months of conditional execution, although the judge ended up lowering the sentence to 7 months.
