HOMOPHOBIA – An elected official from Occitania was stripped and violently beaten overnight from Saturday to Sunday, in a gay meeting place in Toulouse, we learned this Monday, September 13 from concordant sources, confirming information from M6 and Parisian. “The wounds (fractures) testify to the aggression suffered”, indicated the public prosecutor of Toulouse Samuel Vuelta-Simon, adding that the victim, hospitalized, “could not be heard”.
The attackers “stole the victim’s vehicle and his clothes,” said Samuel Vuelta-Simon. According to a police source, the elected official, aged 67, suffers from a facial trauma. He was still hospitalized on Monday but his life is not in danger.

The investigation was entrusted to the departmental security “to locate and arrest the perpetrators of the attack who, therefore, have not yet been identified”, added the prosecutor, stressing that the police had found the vehicle. The Parisian tells him that two suspects are on the run.
However, the homophobic nature of the attack has not been confirmed by the prosecution at the time of writing.
