This Monday, Portugal surpassed one million recovered from infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus since the start of the covid-19 pandemic, by registering 907 cases in the last 24 hours, according to data from the General Directorate of Health (DGS ).
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Portugal, in March 2020, 1,000,811 cases have been reported as recovered, according to the DGS epidemiological bulletin.
A month ago, Portugal had surpassed one million cases of covid-19 infection since the beginning of the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, Portugal recorded an additional 458 cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection, five deaths attributed to covid-19 and an increase in ward admissions.
The area of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, with 164 new cases and the North region, with 149, have 68.3% of the total of new infections verified in the last 24 hours.
The deaths occurred in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region (1), in the North region (2) and in the Center region (2).
Regarding the ages of the victims, three were over 80 years old, one between 70 and 79 and one between 60 and 69.
