Panama debuts with defeat in Futsal World Cup

Panama debuted with the left foot in the Futsal World Cup in Lithuania, losing 5-1 to the Czech Republic in a match corresponding to group D of this competition.

The Panamanian team, which is in its third consecutive World Cup of this modality, had a first half in which the deconcentration made it pay dearly, by conceding four of the five goals scored by the Czechs in the match that was played at the Klaipeda Arena from Lithuania.
In the second half, Panama performed better on the court and in the 39th minute the only score was given by the national team through Claudio Goodridge.

Panama’s next match will be this Thursday, September 16, against Vietnam at 10 in the morning (Panama time). They will close their group stage against Brazil on Sunday, September 19 at 8 am (Panama time).
For the next phase, the two best teams in each group and the four best third places of the six groups that make up the World Cup will enter.
