More than 300 thousand students returned to classrooms in public schools

Some 300,511 students joined the blended class regime yesterday in 1,398 public schools in Panama.

“It is very important” the gradual and safe return to schools, the idea is that the largest number of educational centers “join the blended regime, said the Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday.

“You have to build trust with parents and obviously go monitoring with the health authorities,” said Minister Gorday, who again denied that the Education portfolio is “improvising” with the return to classes, as some have accused teacher leaders who resist returning to schools, arguing that the conditions are not right.

The 300,511 students who returned “progressively and safely” to classrooms to begin classes in a blended mode represent 30% of all educational centers, Gorday said.
