Along these lines, the Secretary of State added that “it is for this reason that the Government has decided to resume carrying out the Military Parade in O’Higgins Park, as has been the tradition for 106 years. The ceremony will feature a parade of 6,500 troops from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Carabineros and the PDI, an endowment that represents 30% less than in a traditional Parade, and does not include the attendance of the general public, ”he explained.

Prokuric also indicated that a “It is important to point out that the Ministry of Health approved a strict sanitary protocol of the Army, according to which all security measures will be taken to protect the health of the participants and avoid contagions. The protocol includes the mandatory use of a surgical mask, guest registration, a mobility pass requirement with a complete vaccination scheme, rapid tests for covid-19, sanitation of spaces, physical distancing, temperature controls, prohibition of food consumption , permanent health supervision and health prevention signs, among other measures ”, he assured.

Regarding the characteristics of the ceremony, the minister indicated that it “will be sober and austere, in keeping with the times in which our country is living, and a tribute will be paid to civilians and soldiers who have fought the pandemic.
