“It was a new stage in my life, for which I was not prepared and it made me feel powerless”, said the actress, that in order to be able to deal better with what she was experiencing, she needed professional help. In the same interview, he also revealed that, when he started having more requests for work, he stopped giving priority to his own life to focus almost exclusively on the characters.

“I was putting energy into understanding these other personas that I was like a vase that was filled with liquids of different colors and I had no idea who I was myself. I definitely got to the point where I thought, ‘I haven’t had time to catch up on my personal life because I’ve been packing all these experiences in a backpack and I’m still moving forward’, explained the actress.

It was during the suspension of recordings due to the quarantine that Anya Taylor-Joy realized that she had neglected her mental health because of the heavy workload she was accumulating.
