A policeman who worked as a taxi driver shot and killed two thieves who tried to rob him

Two thieves died when they were shot by a police officer of the Province of Buenos Aires, whom they tried to assault this Monday while the man was working as a taxi driver. At the time of the event, the cash was carrying a nurse as a passenger. The episode took place in the west of the Buenos Aires suburbs.

Judicial spokesmen revealed to cronica.com.ar that the incident occurred at dawn this Monday, at the intersection of Tomás Antonio Valle and Inca, in the town of González Catán, when the official was working as a driver of a remís, with a WhatsApp application, an opportunity in which he was driving a black VW Gol, inside which he was transporting, as a passenger, a 48-year-old nurse.

According to the informants, two individuals with a firearm appeared on the scene in that place who, it is said, tried to rob the occupants of the vehicle.

As a result, the 26-year-old officer of the Motorized Prevention Group (GPM) of the provincial security force quickly extracted a Bersa Thunder 9-millimeter pistol and faced shots with the thugs, who fell dead.

Members of the Argentine National Gendarmerie (GNA) carried out the expert reports on the scene of the attempted assault.

Later, both bodies were transferred to the judicial morgue installed in the Lomas de Zamora courts and one of the dead was identified as Miguel Angel Servián.

Members of the González Catán police station are in charge of investigating what happened.

Both the young man and the woman were unharmed.

In the case, which was titled “Attempted robbery and double homicide,” the prosecutor Gastón Duplaá intervened.
