DIDA SAMPAIO/ESTADÃO CONTENT – 11/05/2020Aras’s approval is taken for granted in the Senate

The reappointment of Augusto Aras for a new term of two years in the office of attorney general of the Republic is taken for granted in the Senate. A proof of this occurred a short while ago, during his hearing at the House Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ). Even before the head of the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) answer the questions asked by the nomination rapporteur, senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM), the first to question him, the president of the collegiate, Davi Alcolumbre (DEM-AP), responded to a request from the senator Marcos do Val (Podemos-ES), full member of the CCJ, and authorized the parliamentarians to vote. In other words: senators want to register their votes even before hearing the Saturday.
