At the end of 2019, the Brazilian model and actress Carol Nakamura visited Duque de Caxias, a community in the state of Rio de Janeiro with high rates of poverty, where most of its inhabitants are dedicated to garbage collection.
In this place Carol had the opportunity to live with several children who approached her, but among all of them, there was one with whom she developed a special chemistry: the charismatic Wallace, then 9 years old.
Such was the connection between the two that the model ended up inviting him to spend Christmas at her home.
During the holidays, the influencer was moved by Wallace’s reaction when he found the furniture, toys and other items that were in his house, and to which he was not used. It was then that Carol, supported by her partner Guilherme Leonel, decided to do something so that the little boy’s smile would never fade, and initiated the necessary procedures to adopt it.
Since then, Wallace has also become a celebrity thanks to his frequent appearance in the posts and videos his mom posts on social media.
For his part, Guilherme assures that the boy, who is now 11 years old, taught him to be a father and helped him understand the meaning of the word “love.”
Wallace also has the opportunity to continue seeing his biological grandmother, as his adoptive parents allow him to remain in contact with her. Even in October 2020 both families lived together at their birthday party.
