Pete Buttigieg, US Secretary of Transportation and the first openly gay minister in US history, announced this Wednesday that he and her husband were parents.
For some time now, Chasten and I have wanted to increase our family. We are delighted to announce that we are parents!”, wrote on the social network Twitter the 39-year-old minister, one of the stars in the Democratic primaries for the 2020 presidential elections.
For some time, Chasten and I have wanted to grow our family. We’re overjoyed to share that we’ve become parents! The process isn’t done yet and we’re thankful for the love, support, and respect for our privacy that has been offered to us. We can’t wait to share more soon.

The process is not yet over and we are grateful for the love, support and respect for our private life that has been offered to us. We are in a hurry to say more soon”, added the former White House candidate and former rival of Joe Biden.
Chasten Glezman Buttigieg shared the same text on Instagram, adding a symbol representing a bottle.
Pete Buttigieg is the former mayor of South Bend, an average town in the state of Indiana.
Almost unknown to the general public, when he presented his presidential candidacy in April 2019, this former military man, with passage through Afghanistan, has known a dazzling journey.
Today he is “the first openly LGBT person appointed to a permanent position in the presidential office,” according to the Victory Institute.
