A sentence of 14 years in prison must pay 26-year-old Yeison Muñoz after a trial court finds him guilty of the crime against Sexual Freedom and Integrity, in the modality of Aggravated Rape, to the detriment of a child under 8 years of age.
The trial court made up of judges, Albinis Almengor, Basilio Guerra and Mariangel Polanco, read the sentence of 14 years in prison when considering the responsibility of this person with the crime of rape against his stepson, a minor under eight years of age.
In addition, the Oral Trial Court, also decreed as an accessory penalty the prohibition to exercise public functions for 36 months, once the main penalty has been served.
The decision sIt was based after the analysis of the evidence (testimonial, expert and documentary) which were supported by the intervening parties during the trial held on August 2, 2021, where the connection of the sentenced person was accredited with the commission of the punishable act.
During the development of the Oral Trial, the The Public Ministry was represented by the Prosecutor, Attorney Omar Trejos; while the sanctioned person was represented by the Private Technical Defense, Mr. Humberto Serrano. The Public Defense of Victims of Crime, was represented by Ms. Berta Cerrud.
