The pianist, composer and music producer, Edu Zvetelman, launched a new and emotional version of “It could be me”, with the special participation of León Gieco and Ligia Piro. Both the song and the video are already available on digital platforms.
The song, which is part of Zvetelman’s first album, Late harvest, published in 2015, calls for empathy and invites reflection on the problems that affect contemporary societies.
“I wrote this song in 2001, when misery became general. and what was hidden was revealed to all and multiplied by a thousand. Then, our society took it upon itself to naturalize everything and make it pass as part of the landscape. It is always easier to look the other way, “said Zvetelman when introducing the new version to his fans.
“Twenty years later, painfully, this theme is still valid. A painful validity ”, added the musician, who worked with artists such as Luis Alberto Spinetta and Nito Mestre.
In addition, thanked León Gieco and Ligia Piro for their “loving and selfless collaboration”, which allowed to present “a new version of ‘Could be me’, clearly enriched by the talent and commitment of such artists and human beings”.
The video for the song, directed by Roly Santos, mixes images of everyday reality with a sensitive interpretation of the musicians. It is already available on YouTube.
