“I am aware that we can advance a lot in the economic field, in the political field, that there is more and more democracy in the social field, that there is a welfare state, that the Mexican has security from birth to death, from the cradle to the grave, and we go there, but if we do not solve the problem of insecurity and violence, we will not be recognized, remembered as good rulers, that is why it is this challenge that I accept: that of guaranteeing peace and tranquility in Chihuahua and in our country ”, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of Mexico.

Accompanied by the governor of Chihuahua, Javier Corral, and the Secretaries of Security and Citizen Protection, Rosa Icela Rodriguez, defense, Luis Crescencio Sandoval, and Marina, Jose Rafael Ojeda, President López Obrador said that he will continue promoting the National Guard with a budget increase, and that it already has a 75 percent acceptance by the citizens.

“We are going to continue to consolidate the National Guard, they will improve salaries, benefits and of course we will have facilities like this, there are already 182 barracks throughout the country, he said that in a short time and we will have about 500 barracks , facilities for the National Guard at the end of the government, if now there are 100,000 elements, it will be 145 elements of the National Guard, and it will be assigned forward, it will depend on the Secretariat of National Defense and I have already authorized a Increase in the Budget for the National Guard, these three years the Budget will be increased by 50 billion pesos so that when our government ends, this institution will be fully consolidated to protect Mexicans, to face the scourge of violence ”, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of Mexico.

Although he stressed that the fight against insecurity and violence should not be solved only with coercive measures but with social programs and attention to the most disadvantaged sectors to create a welfare state.

“And these two actions, the fight against corruption and impunity and serving the poorest people so that there is no inequality in Mexico is what will also allow us to guarantee peace and tranquility because the problem cannot be solved. of insecurity and violence only with coercive measures, due to more professionalism and discipline and good security institutions as they have, this new institution the National Guard and the two institutions that are pillars, which support the national State, the Secretariat of the Defense, the Secretariat of the Navy ”, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of Mexico.

At the opening ceremony of the new barracks, the Secretary of the Navy endorsed the role of the Armed Forces to guarantee peace and highlighted its contribution with elements prepared for the preservation of public order.

“The security, well-being and peace of Mexicans are the priorities of our nation and therefore the most pressing concerns of the Mexican government and its institutions, with the inauguration of one more headquarters of the National Guard here in Villa Ahumada, Chihuahua we make it clear that each and every one of the entities will have this support, for this we have united wills of the Armed Forces with the State and the different federative entities of the national territory ”, José Rafael Ojeda, Secretary of the Navy.

The governor of the entity specified that beyond the political differences he shares with the federal Executive his fight against corruption and inequality.

“Because beyond differences and the tensions inherent to governmental work, I have been able to verify at a crucial moment in Mexico, historical and necessary for fundamental definitions, that we also have great and greater coincidences than divergences, of course the fight against the two evils that so much damage has done to Mexico, inequality and corruption ”, Javier Corral, Governor of Chihuahua.

The scourges that he said explain the problem of insecurity and the challenge facing the Mexican State to combat it.
