The Pentagon, headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, closed its accesses to the lime on Tuesday due to a shooting in front of one of its entrances where there is a bus and subway stop. However, the incident has not escalated and about an hour later it has reopened its doors.
This was reported in a tweet by the Pentagon Protection Force Agency, which pointed out that there was an “incident” in the transit center of the US Department of Defense headquarters.

The event occurred at a point where one of the main entrances to the site is located, used daily by thousands of its employees. Buses of various lines in the area stop at this stop.
Cited by CNN Pentagon Protection Force Agency spokesman Chris Layman noted that the area is not yet safe and asked citizens to avoid the area.
The Arlington Fire Department, where the Pentagon is located, on the outskirts of Washington DC, indicated that it has encountered “multiple patients” when it came to respond to “an active incident of violence” in the area.
At this time the police cordon has already been lifted and the Pentagon is beginning to regain normalcy.
