Like every fall Apple prepares to launch new products in several waves. Now, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) tells us that there are new and mysterious Macs and Apple Watch on the way. These are two clear signs that the commercialization of products yet to be revealed is approaching.
Two Macs that have just been registered with the EEC
The Eurasian database often releases model numbers for new products weeks in advance. This time, it’s about two Mac models that from the French website Consomac indicate that it could be the new MacBook Pro M1X. These are the A2442 and A2485 models, which appear at the end of the following list:
Both models appear together with others already known, these two being the unpublished ones. The document is an update to incorporate the new version macOS 12 Monterey to registered computers. Right now there are two MacBook Pro models that still have an Intel processor.
These are the 13-inch 4-port MacBook Pros, as well as the 16-inch model. Rumor has it that it will finally be two 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, with a new design and a version of MagSafe as a charger. Among other improvements, it is expected to have a mini-LED screen, say goodbye to the Touch Bar and again incorporate an HDMI port and SD card reader.
One of the most anticipated aspects is the processor that both teams will carry. Being the high-end of the MacBook ProAll hopes are pinned on at least one M1X that would add more CPU and GPU power. But there is also the possibility that it is a completely new M2.
Six new Apple Watch Series 7 are coming
New Apple Watch models have also been registered in this database. Is about a total of six different models, specifically the A2473, A2474, A2475, A2476, A2477 and A2478. They can be seen in the following EEC table:
Again, it is an update of models that will be compatible with watchOS 8, which will see the light in september. The new Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to sport a device redesign several years after the Apple Watch Series 4 debuted three years ago. Following in the wake of the rest of the products, flat edges such as the iPad, iMac 2021 and iPhone 12 are predicted.
The procedure that makes Apple devices pass through the EEC is mandatory. Although we should not trust too much of the timeline in which they happen. Thus, Apple registered the supposed iPhone 13 in this database last June. Two months later these Mac and Apple Watch arrive, although both the terminal and the watch will surely arrive at the same time. Not forgetting that the iMac M1 we saw this year was “announced” by the EEC in June 2020.
That said, both the watches and the iPhone 13 will most likely launch in September. While new Macs do it in October or November.
