A Brazilian women’s volleyball team won an important result at dawn this Saturday, 31, by winning the Serbia for 3 sets to 1 (25/20, 25/16, 23/25 and 25/19), in a confrontation held by the penultimate round of Tokyo Olympics. Even facing some difficulty against the strong European team, one of the main powers in the sport, the Brazilians showed a solid performance and assumed the leadership of Group A, surpassing precisely the Serbs. Now, the team led by José Roberto Guimaraes it only depends on a triumph over Kenya, the last placed, to finish at the tip of the bracket.

Even facing the current world champion and Olympic runner-up, Brazil showed a lot of lightness and had great performances by Tandara, the team’s top scorer, and Roberta to beat Serbia. Take the agile, the Brazilian women’s team didn’t give space to the opponents, stood out with the serves and faced the rival with extreme competence. Thus, the team reaches its fourth consecutive triumph in the Olympic Games – Brazil also defeated South Korea (3 sets to 0), Dominican Republic (3 sets to 2) and Japan (3 sets to 0).
